The Bowling Family at Madison Church of God in Madison Family

Well, they started with a ‘sermonette’ from the pastor. Heather sat as close to me as possible because he scared her. He does, you know, one of these ‘singing-type’ of preaching like some black churches we’ve been to do. Anyway, combined with that and the congregation hollering and everybody praying out loud at the same time, Heather was scared. I wasn’t comfortable. One more thing, the men’s restroom had mounted deer heads and antlers on the wall. Yes it was a church.
Then, Mike Bowling wasn’t there, he wasn’t feeling well so he stayed in the bus. A local filled in. Enough said.
Then, the sound was SO loud for a small church, we walked out during the 2nd song. Never again for that church or The Bowlings. They owe me for gas for driving over a hundred miles round trip!
